What is Ladders?

umpkincarvingparty (4) Ladders is a free, creative enterprise programme for young people aged 18-24. Develop your skills, widen networks, and prepare for a career within the creative and digital industries.

How does it work?

Choose a creative course in either Music, Software Development, or Film and TV. Creative courses last for 8 weeks, and are led by an industry mentor. The first four weeks will be spent developing relevant skills, with insight into industry in the form of panel talks, company visits and workshops. The final four will be spent developing a project of your choice. Your project doesn’t need to be completed by the end of the course, and won’t be marked or scored; the idea is that you produce something you didn’t have the resources, confidence, or skills to do before.

Ladders is designed to prepare you for the world of work. As well as developing practical and technical skills, you’ll be given the tools to help start a business too. Not an entrepreneur? We host sessions and workshops dedicated to refining your employability skills too. Read more here.

How do I apply?

Fill in the short form below. You’ll then be sent an application form to tell us a little more about yourself. If you’re successful, you’ll be invited in to the Generator office for a chat. There’s only ten spaces on each course, so we need to be sure that the course is right for you.

If you can’t make the full course, you’re still free to attend enterprise sessions, or get on board as a blogger and photographer.

Getting started is easy. Introduce yourself using the form below, and we’ll get back to you.
