Tipping Point Artists Announced

Generator, the UK’s leading music development agency, has signed two new acts to its artist development programme, The Tipping Point.

London-based singer-songwriter Bryde and Newcastle R&B trio SoShe (pictured) will work withGenerator on early stage strategies designed to build each artist’s profile.

Talent is identified through Generator’s new music network The Tipping Point and selected artists are supported over 12 months including the facilitation of two releases, the building of a team (manager, plugger, PR, agent) around each artist plus access to live opportunities and digital marketing expertise from Motive Unknown, improving their ability to connect with audiences, gain industry traction and break new markets.

Bryde is a London-based girl and an electric guitar singing fierce and fragile songs often compared with Jeff Buckley, Sharron Van Etten and Ben Howard dealing with human psychology but with an infectious defiant and life-affirming quality.

Alternative Urban Pop trio SoShe have gained recognition from BBC Radio 1 and Radio 1Xtra having supported Prides, Luke Pickett, Fatboy Slim and Rudimental.

The deal also includes a joint-venture with Sentric Music Publishing who will assist with creative and sync opportunities alongside royalty collection. Artists will perform at a high-profile Tipping Point showcase at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton which has hosted the likes of Clean Cut Kid, The Big Moon, Ady Suleiman and Cape Cub in recent years.

Chris Meehan, CEO of Sentric said; “We’re absolutely delighted to be extending our working relationship with the Generator team. We’ve long been supporters of the brilliant development work they do with artists and feel that with our support, we can help artists to develop to have international success”.

Generator has a strong track record of developing artists on a national scale through The Tipping Point focusing on UK talent which has led to increased exposure for many artists including Eliza and the Bear, Azekel and Ten Fé.

Generator CEO Jim Mawdsley commented: “We have spent a great deal of time ensuring that we are working with artists that have a real chance of success following their involvement with Generator and the springboard we provide. We are constantly looking for really early stage talent to develop and look forward to working with the wider industry to ensure we feed great artists into the system”.
