Joy Atlas are a future pop four piece- hailing from the North of England who have burst onto our horizons with their Debut single ‘Dismount’.
Echoing the likes of indie-pop newcomers Fickle Friends, Joy Atlas pack a punch with a nod towards noughties pop-punk creating an individual sound that is strengthened by Beccy Owen’s Neon Lit, Northern twang.
Instrumentally the song swells with energy; from the bouncy bassline, to 8bit synth glitches and snappy percussion. It has a catchy chorus that feels summery yet lyrically has a slightly grittier message. ‘Dismount’ is an exciting, upbeat debut that will leave listeners wanting more.
