The Key to Unlocking Potential

This round of the Business Growth Pipeline is currently closed to applications – check back later in the year for further information.

The Business Growth Pipeline is Generator’s bespoke service, developed to provide ambitious North East based SMEs with the right conditions to achieve:

  • Full Growth Potential
  • Increased Turnover
  • Expanded Workforce

The support provided through the Business Growth Pipeline is individually tailored to your business, providing each with the essential support required to grow, in line with the NELEP’s economic ambition of ‘more and better jobs’.

Clients are provided with a diagnostic on entering the pipeline from where they are matched with appropriate industry experts who will take on an ‘Interim Director’ role over a 12-month period, working on specific, agreed areas of the business, providing expert guidance and strategic advice in the boardroom.

Areas of support may include Finance, Sales, Marketing or Investment and will be complemented by access to a sector specific mentor bank providing additional support.

This model is based on a successful pilot which is now in it’s second full iteration.

All beneficiaries of the Business Growth pilot scheme reported an increase in turnover and a number now employ full time Finance Directors after seeing first-hand, the value the role brought to the firm.

Due to Generator’s ERDF supported ‘Digital Futures’ programme we can offer a limited number of creative/digital SMEs based in the North East of England* the opportunity to take advantage of this highly valued package FREE of charge.

*County Durham, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear.

This round of the Business Growth Pipeline is currently closed.

Case Study: Gospelware

One of the region’s leading software companies, Gospelware – who are on course for a record year of growth – successfully completed Generator’s 6 month Business Growth Pipeline pilot, and were delighted by the results. The pilot programme resulted in Gospelware being able to employ their own full-time Financial Director.

Managing Director, Ryan Davies, said: “The support we received from Generator from our interim Financial Director was fantastic – it really helped us align our financial goals around monthly output and helped us with process for reviewing. Our interim Financial Director was a great guy to work with, providing us with a wealth of knowledge and experience.”
