Free Online Learning Launched at Newcastle College

Newcastle College has launched a brand-new range of free online courses to help people upskill during the pandemic.

The new programme of short, online courses is focused on helping people to adapt to the challenges of Covid-19, improve their CV and prepare for a future beyond lockdown. With 30 courses available across a range of subjects, individuals can take advantage of the offer to develop their skills in areas including digital, healthcare and mental health and wellbeing.

This is the second range of free courses launched by Newcastle College during the pandemic, with the aim of helping individuals and businesses to prepare for the future.

Principal of Newcastle College, Scott Bullock, commented: “Newcastle College is at the heart of the North East and we are passionate about helping our community develop their skills and talents, particularly during this challenging time.

“We continue to support thousands of students to achieve their goals through further and higher education, apprenticeships and adult part-time study.

“Now, with so many local people and businesses affected by prolonged closures and job losses, we feel it is important to help individuals and employers to develop new skills and feel more confident about the future as we look ahead to a future beyond Covid-19.”
