MARSICANS

It’s been a couple of years since an influx of summery-garage pop exploded from Birmingham (Swim Deep, JAWS, Peace) and it looks like it’s been picked up by Yorkshire quartet Marsicans. Their latest upbeat track ‘Too Good’ is oozing summer vibes and a breezy attitude that makes you want to strut around in the sun.

Animated synths intertwine with energetic vocals, suggesting strong influences from the likes of Circa Waves whilst also resembling what a Sundara Karma and Little Comets lovechild might sound like. An anthemic chorus staples this as a sure festival favourite and certain to rake in the crowds looking for the next emerging indie act.

Delightful, lively indie-pop at its finest, if the British summer is getting you down, give this one a listen.
