TIPPER OF THE WEEK: GRANT FRAMPTON

This week we continue our latest feature on the Tipping Point, spotlighting the biggest and best emerging acts from across the UK. Each Monday, we ask one of our esteemed tippers to select five of their hottest tips to be featured on the site throughout the week.

Next up we have Grant Frampton, an Australian-born, London-based artist manager. Having founded Six Wheels Management in 2016, he currently manages the hotly tipped London band SUN SILVA. From an audio engineer and tour management background, he has worked with artists such as Manchester Orchestra, Jungle, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and Sundara Karma. Check out his tips below!

ANOTHER SKY

I first heard of Another Sky about a year ago when a friend mentioned how great they were at a festival, and i only recently had the pleasure of seeing them myself. They fuse a lot of my favourite styles into something their own. If Radiohead, London Grammar and Slowdive had a child, it would sound like Another Sky.

MF TOMLINSON

MF Tomlinson is a brand new project out of London that’s impossible not to love. the Lead single ‘Nature Boy’ sounds like a mixture of Marvin Gaye, Jungle and Dr Dre. They have only played two shows so far and each time have been brilliant. Check them out.

BRAD STANK

I recently heard the ‘Eternal Slowdown’ EP and was instantly hooked. It’s smooth, it’s calming. Definitely music for the morning after. Along the lines of Connan Mockasin and Men I Trust. Solid gold.

MIRO SHOT

Miro Shot is the new project from Roman Rappak of Breton, a band I had the pleasure of touring with a few years ago. Not only is the music exceptional, the visual aspect to Miroshot is just as important. A band that really go the extra mile to create an entire world for the audience.

NEON WALTZ

One of the best bands in the UK. Their debut album ’Strange Hymns’ is a masterpiece and they keep getting better. If you ever get a chance to see them live, do. They have been touring with DMA’s quite a lot recently. They deserve a gold medal.
