Sensoria Online Scoring Contest Announced

The SensoriaPro Scoring Contest is a unique opportunity for composers to create music to a film trailer/clip and receive feedback from a panel of industry experts.

This year Sensoria is delighted to have teamed up with distributor, producer and streaming service MUBI who have kindly supplied the trailer for SUSPIRIA (2018).

The Scoring Contest is open to all film composers, music students and sound artists.

The Scoring Contest has traditionally been presented at Sensoria Festival’s Pro Day but this year the event will take place online. Each entrant will receive feedback and a number of selected submissions will also be reviewed as part of an online panel event on 15 October. Guests Ian Neil (Head of Music for Film, Sony), Samuel Diaz (Director of Music Supervision, CBS Television Studios), Chi Chi Nwakodo (Creative Sync Executive, Sony/ATV Music Publishing) and Ava Striker (Development Executive, MUBI) will give their thoughts and comments during the session.

The panel are looking for a new score or track placement to accompany the theatrical trailer for SUSPIRIA a supernatural horror art film (the 2018 re-imagining of the 1977 original). The winner will receive a free delegate pass for SensoriaPro 2021 and one year’s subscription to MUBI.

Once registered, participants will be able to download the movie file with dialogue and sound fx.
