STARLING

First day back after a bank holiday? …. The final few hours of work ….trying to see the day out? If so take a pause to listen to ‘Misfit‘ by the breath-taking Starling.

Starling is a London songstress who’s dark pop winds itself into your mind through crafted, brooding vibes and soft, breezy vocals, much like Banks but a lot more bare and slowed down.

Misfit itself has a heart of strained piano that underpins a beautifully told story about how Starling does not want to adhere to the norm. It’s a haunting, powerful track.

Unfortunately Starling’s ‘Communion Presents’ October gig at the Servant Jazz Quarters in London is already sold out however we’re sure that with tracks like this, alongside previous efforts like ‘Take It Down‘, we’ll have many more opportunities to witness this stunning music live.
