SHIFT WORK

Shift Work are a relatively unknown London project, but when your debut EP gets signed to the highly respected Optimo Music you know you must be doing something right.

The EP is called ‘Scaled To Fit’, and it fits very nicely on the label indeed, with the music being described by Optimo as “machine music for hypno dance floors and home listening tranceouts”. Wow, sounds interesting.

The title track serves up acid-tinged synth lines and some delightful tribal percussion, with a robotic voice chanting away underneath almost inaudibly. It’s this robotic voice that soon has the listener in a trance, as the rhythm takes over and the urge to dance is irresistible.

The ‘Scaled To Fit’ EP will be released on 12″ and digitally via Optimo Music on July 7.
