Brighter Sound Mentoring Programme

Brighter Sound Launches Mentoring Programme For Emerging Musicians

Applications are now open for Brighter Sound’s mentoring programme – offering emerging musicians from the North of England the opportunity to receive bespoke mentoring from established musicians and music business professionals. Supported by Help Musicians UK and PRS Foundation, the programme is part of Brighter Sound’s ongoing programme of support for artists at the early stages of their careers.

The Manchester-based creative music charity has a reputation for connecting emerging artists with inspirational role models such as Anna Meredith (pictured), Nadine Shah, Kendrick Lamar, Everything Everything and Beth Orton.

Twelve places are available for the programme, which will run over a six-month period from November 2018 to March 2019. Applicants should be:

• Aged 18+
• Based in the North of England
• Be in the early stages of their music career

Applicants should also have a strong track record of gigs in a variety of live music venues and a growing online presence (using at least one digital platform such as SoundCloud, Bandcamp or Spotify).

Those interested should visit the Brighter Sound website and apply online by Sunday 21 October 2018.
