Mediaworks To Relocate 90-strong Team To Honeycomb Gateshead

One of the North East’s largest digital marketing agencies is moving its headquarters.

Mediaworks will relocate its 90-strong team to Honeycomb at The Watermark in Gateshead as it looks to accommodate ongoing expansion.

The company, which has operated in the Team Valley area since it was founded in 2007, will occupy the building’s 10,000 sq ft second floor on a 10-year lease.

Jersey-based property firm Palladium Group acquired the building in 2017 and has since ploughed more than £400k into a refurb programme, providing modern office space, new LED lighting, staff showers and air conditioning.

Newcastle property agency Naylors secured the letting on behalf of Palladium.

Jessica Ross, associate director at Naylors, said: “Over the last 12 months we have seen a significant transformation take place at Honeycomb and this work has culminated in the letting to Mediaworks.

“Naylors has been heavily involved in the project, acting as manging agent, building consultant and joint letting agent, so we are very pleased to welcome an established regional business such as Mediaworks.”

Spencer Bourne, chairman of Palladium Group, commented: “We are delighted to have Mediaworks as our new tenant at Honeycomb Gateshead.

“The building will provide them with a fantastic platform to attract and retain talented people and will allow them to build on their success to date.”

He added: “This is our fifth Honeycomb site and we are actively looking to expand our brand further into other regional cities.”

Naylors is a joint letting agent on Honeycomb alongside Knight Frank.
