TIPPER OF THE WEEK: PAIGE SIMS

This week we continue our latest feature on the Tipping Point, spotlighting the biggest and best emerging acts from across the UK. Each Monday, we ask one of our esteemed tippers to select five of their hottest tips to be featured on the site throughout the week.

Next up we’ve got Paige Sims, music writer at The Line Of Best Fit, Earmilk and Lock Magazine. Soundtracking her life with great music, Paige is a lover of scandi-pop, brash punk and supporting female artists. Have a read through her tips below!

L DEVINE

L Devine is making big waves on the pop scene lately. Her feisty 90s flared millennial bops are capturing the hearts of many. And with only two EPs under her belt, there’s plenty more to come from this 21 year old. And I, for one, cannot wait.

NEMI

NEMI’s pop sequences make her one to watch out for this year. The thrilling ‘Can’t Get Through To You’ is a vibrantly quirky pop masterpiece. Releasing her debut EP this year, ‘You’ will be the soundtrack to everyone’s summer.

TALLSAINT

Leeds-based Tallsaint crafts elegant indie-pop bangers. Writing a song inspired by her cat PJ Harvey is just purely iconic. Mixing a Jessie Ware vibe with St Vincent production, Tallsaint creates carefree anthems perfect for hazy days and long nights.

MARTHA HILL

Martha Hill’s sonic abilities continue to capture my attention. With each release, the Newcastle multi-instrumentalist continues to impress with her plethora of unique songs. With a captivating song writing style, Martha is a fascinating lyricist.

LILY MOORE

Lily Moore, a purely perfected vocalist. Her soulful sounds and sleek production combined ensures that each track she releases is astonishingly effortless. Her minimalistic sound and raw vocals make it crazily easy to fall in love with this artist.
