ALORIC

On the strength of this track Aloric is certainly making challenging and interesting music with a total disregard for conventional arrangements and sounds. This is not easy listening by any stretch but then who wants that?

Talk about being lulled into a false sense of security. ’Who?’ kicks off with a brutal de-tuned guitar and frantic double kick drum sequence before dropping surprisingly into a placid lake of piano and tender falsetto.
Its like being bludgeoned by a berserk viking one minute and softy caressed with an ostrich feather the next before finishing with another round of battery from the angry Dane.

Its the beauty between the filthy bookends that creates the surprise and draws the listener in. If we could discern the lyric I have a feeling we may be even more unnerved. Maybe ignorance is bliss in this case especially if personal mental health is important to you. If Anthony Hegarty made a record with Sepultura it might sound like this. Maybe they should.
