BROOKE BENTHAM

It is always a pleasure when our Tipping Point spotlight falls onto a North East artist, and today our focus shifts to exciting new singer/songwriter Brooke Bentham. Her debut track ‘We’ll Be Ghosts’ caught the attention of the blogosphere, and within days a series of posts hailing the strength and beauty of Bentham’s voice, with lofty comparisons drawn to the likes of Laura Marling and the lyricism of Leonard Cohen.

There is little other information available about Brooke online, however at the tender age of 18 this is very much the beginning of her fledgling career. ‘We’ll Be Ghosts’ demonstrates an incredibly accomplished vocal ability, and a genuine, striking soul that blends into her absorbing lyrical performance. With upcoming shows in London at the end of this month, we’d strongly recommend that you head down and hear more of Brooke’s sterling material.
