FOREVER

Today’s tip sounds completely exotic of this world, sonically transporting you somewhere unknown, however, it comes from Glasgow five-piece Forever. It is the follow-up to their debut track Shame, but is completely different from the pacey guitar rock of that tune.

Loose features incredible and almost nightmare-esque percussion sounds mixed with guitar which sounds shattered and pointy. All of this lies on a hazier sound which the vocal softly croons over, however, there are spurts of huge soundscape where everything erupts into life. It’s hard to pick out a true comparison but I can’t help but think Loose sounds like an anti-Bon Iver. The band also mix their music themselves so Loose is a great achievement for a brand new band.

The band are already making waves on the brilliant live scene in Glasgow, supporting the likes of Admiral Fallow and Fickle Friends thus far, so make sure you look out for their name on gig posters and line-ups. I can only imagine this sound would blow you away live.
