Generator: PRSF Talent Development Partner

Generator is extremely pleased to announce that it will become a national Talent Development Partner of the Performing Right Society for Music Foundation for 2016.

“These are organisations that have been working at the frontline of talent development in the UK, supporting a broad range of individual music creators across different music genres and UK regions.”

Generator will deliver on its Tipping Point talent development programme which provides essential support for emerging artists in the North East and throughout the UK, building their credibility and ability to operate the music industry matrices.

Year-long support will prepare a small number of emerging artists for the music industry, identified using the Tipping Point blog and our trusted expert network including Sentric Music Publishing who will also assist with creative and sync opportunities alongside royalty collection.

Teams will be built around each artist who will also access live opportunities and digital expertise improving their ability to connect with audiences, gain industry traction and break new markets.

We will support each Tipping Point artist through facilitating releases, arranging digital and physical distribution and supplying advice around format decisions, scheduling, budgeting and marketing and promotion. Each artist will also perform at a high-profile Tipping Point showcase at the Great Escape in Brighton.

Bob Allan, Generator’s Talent Development Programme Manager says: “We are delighted to become a talent development partner of the PRS for Music Foundation. The Tipping Point is designed to offer intensive, high-level support to a select number of artists, but it is also agile in supporting artists at different stages of their career by providing open access to industry master-classes and advice sessions, so any artist, looking to progress within the industry, can find the information and develop the knowledge they need.”

Vanessa Reed, Executive Director of PRS for Music Foundation said:

“We are proud to be supporting such a strong and diverse group of organisations which have the needs of talented UK music creators at the centre of their plans. I look forward to following each partner’s projects and initiatives as well as helping this network to share insight into the current challenges facing individual artists across the UK and increasing opportunities for a broader range of artists to receive the help they deserve at crucial moments in their career.”
