JESSE JAMES SOLOMON

Everything about South East London’s Jesse James Solomon appears unpretentious and understated – whether it’s the does-what-it-says-on-the-tin title of his debut EP ‘Jesse From SE’, his lackadaisical approach on the mic, or the new set of visuals that accompany ‘Tides’.

The video sees Solomon move between high-rise flats, his local snooker club and an off license; an elegantly simple representation of what his style is all about. On the track (which also features Dublin’s Rejjie Snow), a delicate harp sample loops round lazily, accompanied by little more than some gun sound-inspired percussion. Be sure to check out the rest of ‘Jesse From SE’ for more hazy tales of inner-city London.
