NIGHT OWLS

Clue Records, where the hits don’t quit, have seemingly unearthed another gem. Responsible for introducing the masses to Forever Cult, TRASH, Bruising and more, they have a track record for picking winners – on the evidence given, Night Owls seem destined to join this glory-filled lot.

With one foot in the dark, swirling psych camp, and the other in the euphoric alternative rock zone, Night Owls confidently balance style and substance to deliver an invigorating new single ‘Honestly‘. Cruising at an up-tempo pace from the get-go, you can’t help but get swept up in its surging rhythms. The chorus breaks the flow slightly in order to effectively deliver the disarmingly sweet titular message ‘Honestly, I would move heaven and earth for you’.

With the apparent lyrical themes so opposed to the vibe created by the musical element, and snatches of slightly disconcerting imagery it’s hard to pin-point whether this is a genuine love song, or something a little more sinister… Either way, Night Owls are making you feel something and that’s all you can ask for.
