WEST PRINCES

The bizarrely-titled ‘Wet Bark is a Slug’ is West Princes’ debut release, and one of those songs that gets better every time you hear it.

The idyllic guitar and warm vocals combine for a delightfully sun-kissed tune that’s sweet without getting into forced you’d-better-feel-happy-or-else territory. There’s a fair bit going on but that adds to the charm, and it’s certainly a promising debut by the Glaswegians.

It’s also accompanied by a bonkers video made up of parts of a 1984 Estonian cartoon spliced together. Worth a watch in itself, especially if you’re a maniac.
