Generator x Up2Stndrd - Songwriting Camp

Generator x Up2Stndrd Songwriting Camp is a three-day intensive songwriting programme taking place in Glasgow from the 18-20th of August 2026. Delivered in partnership with Up2Stndrd, the camp brings together emerging artists, songwriters and producers from the North East of England and Scotland, working across R&B, Soul, Jazz, Afrobeats, Rap and other Black music genres.

Designed to encourage cross-regional collaboration, develop creative skills and create new music, the programme includes daily songwriting and production sessions, collaborative studio work, and the opportunity to write to live industry briefs. Whether you're looking to expand your network, refine your craft or collaborate with new creatives, this camp offers a unique opportunity to develop your practice in a supportive, professional environment.

Generator x Up2Stndrd Songwriting Camp forms part of Black Music Beyond Borders, a talent development programme designed to connect Black artists and music professionals across the North of England with new opportunities, networks and international pathways.

Participants will:
Develop songwriting and music production skills through structured sessions.
Gain experience writing to live industry briefs.
Collaborate with artists, songwriters, and producers from different regions.
Expand professional networks across regional and national music scenes.
Access peer learning and professional development opportunities.

Participants must:
Be currently residing in the North East Combined Authority area.
Be an artist, songwriter, or producer.
Not be in an exclusive publishing agreement.
Provide a portfolio or playlist of previous work.
