In partnership with Nrthrn Baby, a Newcastle based Music and Culture agency championing underrepresented genres such as Rap, R&B, and Afrobeats in the region.

In June 2024 we piloted a songwriting weekend in partnership with Nrthrn Baby which featured four NoT artists, providing them with 16 hours of studio time, songwriting and recording with a specialist producer; resulting in a professional video shoot. The objective of this partnership was to develop our work with artists from underrepresented genres. We acknowledge that we must diversify our recruitment to engage artists from the Global Majority and/or from the hip-hop/grime/R&B genres who are lacking representation in the North East music industry.

Following the success of the pilot we are excited to opening the applications for the next songwriting camp cohort.
