Digital stage set for North East  musicians

Fronted by local comedians Hal Branson and Sammy Dobson,  Big Screen TV will also provide a virtual showcase for artists and music venues around the North East. Featuring Martha Hill, Straight Girl and Sopruh in its launch show - the first of ten programmes that will be uploaded weekly.

The project has involved recruiting a team of freelancers – most of whom have been excluded from the various Government business support initiatives throughout the pandemic – to film the 30 artists in the 11 venues across the region.

Being involved in Big Screen TV was a lot of fun. After suffering from a creative drought throughout the lockdowns, it was so lovely being back in a room surrounding by creative people, playing music and having fun.
