Mincoffs Continues To Grow

A series of appointments and promotions has further strengthened the offering at a leading North East corporate and commercial law firm.

Newcastle-based Mincoffs Solicitors has bolstered its corporate team with two new fee earners, with solicitor Grace Hughes qualifying into the department after completing her training contract with the firm and Jenny Harrison joining as a paralegal.

The residential conveyancing department at the firm has also welcomed solicitor Claire Devapal as the latest appointment to its 30-strong team.

Claire brings more than 15 years’ experience in both commercial and residential property matters to her new role and advises clients on all aspects of residential conveyancing, from property purchases and sales to re-mortgages and equity release.

Elsewhere in the business, trainee solicitor Amy Campbell has commenced her first seat in Mincoffs’ employment and commercial services departments, with two more trainee solicitors set to start their training contracts in March 2023.

The new starters are the latest in a period of sustained growth for the firm, which has included increased recruitment of both fee earners and support staff, along with the appointment of Chief Operating Officer Julie Parr, who joined the firm in September.

Senior Partner Paul Hughes is delighted to see the firm continuing to grow.

“This is a very exciting time to be joining Mincoffs as we have some really fantastic projects underway which will benefit both our clients and our staff,” he said.

“It is excellent to be attracting talented legal professionals across all levels and we pride ourselves on being a firm which provides even those at the very start of their careers with real, hands on experience and responsibilities.

“Claire, Grace, Jenny and Amy are brilliant additions to the team and we look forward to seeing them progress through their careers with us.”

Mincoffs Solicitors has provided expert legal services and advice across the North East and beyond for more than 70 years.

Alongside corporate and commercial services, the firm’s offering includes real estate, dispute resolution, employment law, licensing and gaming, residential conveyancing, family law and wills, probate and trusts.
