Transmit Group Team Grows

Gateshead-based Transmit Group has added to it award-winning team as it continues its growth plans focused on supporting more UK entrepreneurs.

The Group, which provides a wide range of high-impact services designed to help businesses start up and scale up, has increased its own team from 20 employees to 29 in the past 12 months.

Seven new employees have been recruited in recent weeks in response to growing demand for services from entrepreneurs and enterprise organisations.

Transmit’s subsidiary companies are:

  • Transmit Start-Ups, delivery partner for the Government’s Start Up Loans
  • Transmit Consulting, which provides consulting and coaching services
  • Teal, a finance brokerage for UK growth businesses
  • Transmit Enterprise, experts in the social economy
  • Signal, UK licence holder for the global Poverty Stoplight movement

Chelsey Etherington, Daniel Richardson and Sharon Morgan have joined the team as Applications Assistants, Jill Stewart is Business Advisor and Mentoring Co-ordinator, Allison Lister is Business Advisor and Assessment Co-ordinator, while Victoria Milne and Ian Thompson have been recruited as Associate Business Advisers.

Transmit Group Commercial Director Richard Myers said: “This latest wave of recruitment reflects our own growth strategy and the success of our team in delivering quality services to entrepreneurs and enterprise agencies across the UK.

“The new recruits bring yet more experience and expertise into the Group to make a real difference to customers ranging from micro businesses to major franchises.”

Transmit Group launched in March 2018 to bring together its subsidiary companies – opening up new opportunities for the team to handle bigger contracts and support more ambitious businesses.

Transmit Start-Ups is now the biggest Start Up lender in the North East of England and in Scotland and has lent £28.5million to 2,813 entrepreneurs. It recently received the coveted Gold Trusted Service 2018 award from customer review platform Feefo – for the second consecutive year.
