Lindisfarne Festival

Lindisfarne Festival which is taking place on Beal Farm, Northumberland from the 1st – 4thSeptember 2016 will provide a showcase for up and coming North East talent through partnership with BBC Introducing.

The over 18’s festival which is in its 2nd year, will play host to leading acts Reef, British Sea Power, Fatherson and Beardyman amongst many more. On Saturday 3rd September between 12 – 6pm an eclectic mix of up and coming NE acts specially selected by the BBC will also take to the stage to showcase their musical talent.

BBC Introducing‘s Nick Roberts said: “I’m absolutely delighted that BBC Introducing is going to be a part of this year’s Lindisfarne Festival. The inaugural event last year was a huge success. This year, with “BBC Introducing in the North East Presents…” we bring the best emerging artists from the area to the festival.

Headlining Saturday afternoon’s take over Coquin Migale who recently signed to Fierce Panda, the band have received Radio 1 plays and performed at The Great Escape. Producer and re mixer Dom Zilla playing his new material. Other acts include A Festival, A Parade, RnB/ Pop bandSoShe and the North East’s rap and beats band The Great & The Magnificent.

Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, the 2016 festival promises to be even bigger and better, while still retaining its independence, intimacy and fun atmosphere.
