Summer Music Cities

The third edition of Music Cities Convention will return to Brighton on 18th May at the Sallis Benney Theatre and will feature 28 speakers from 16 different cities.

Glastonbury booker and co-founder of The Great Escape Martin Elbourne alongside music development agency Sound Diplomacy started the Music Cities Convention.

The event, which takes place just before The Great Escape, aims to bring together the top minds from municipalities, regions, academics, consultants and the music industry to discuss, debate and introduce new thinking, action and structure to develop more vibrant, global cities.

Topics on the agenda include venue and community space development, education, employment, event provision, licensing, regulation and demographics, city tourism, soft power and brand development, music industries impact on a number of issues prevalent in city planning, strategy, regulatory and legislative aspects.
