Una: Dream Ticket?

Start-up ticketing agency Una Tickets has raised £1.1 million in private angel investment to launch what it is referring to as the UK’s first transparent end-to-end ticket agency.

The service provides ticketing in addition to facilitating access control, cashless payments and real-time onsite analytics for promoters. For the customer, events are accessed all through an RFID oyster style access card and mobile app pass.

Users pay a one off fee of £5.99 for their personalised pass, which is valid for three years and enables them to avoid paying booking fees for tickets sold via Una. A key feature is that the platform prevents touting and counterfeit tickets through various measures alongside providing a secure secondary marketplace for fans to sell at face value or less.

Una Tickets founder Amar Chauhan said: “Do not dismiss us as just another start-up ticket agency. We are here to shake up the establishment and give power back to fans”.

He continued: “We have built a solid end-to-end solution to combat the widespread problems in the ticketing industry which can take on the leading agencies across all live event sectors”.

Investors include former Deputy Chairman of Wembley Stadium Sir Peter Thompson and Una have also been awarded £250,000 by the Government-backed Innovate UK technology strategy board. In addition, it is through to the second stage of a £50,000 Nesta prize for the system’s accessibility for disabled customers.

Free passes are available for the first 2,000 to register, with passes then available at a discounted price of £3.99 for a limited window. Find out more here.
