Who are The Mysterines? With no official release under their belts and only a few fan-filmed video clips circulating on social media, the mysteriously illusive Liverpool trio have been creating quite a buzz thanks to explosive sets supporting the likes of Miles Kane, The Big Moon and The Coral. Math-rock? Prog-pop? Experimental-instrumental? You tell me, but Tall Talker’s debut single ‘Geno’ is a brilliant statement of intent from the Leeds via Teesside trio. The lyrics to his debut solo single ‘Infant Hercules’ feature on this season’s Middlesbrough FC shirts and new single ‘I Am Yours’ is a love letter to the beautiful North Yorkshire seaside town of Saltburn. With his first solo headline show (at The Georgian Theatre in Stockton) already a sell-out, it’s going to be interesting to see where Hammill takes this next.
