CALLUM PITT

Today’s tip on the site is Newcastle-based indie-folk newcomer Callum Pitt, whose The War On Drugs, Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes-influenced sound has attracted a ton of attention in the first half of 2017.

Debut single ‘You’d Better Sell It While You Can’ hurled him straight into the limelight back in January with support slots for the likes of Meadowlark, Cape Cub and Isaac Gracie alongside BBC 6 Music coverage soon following.

Latest offering ‘Least He’s Happy’ has done nothing to stop his momentum, with praise from DIY Magazine for his stunning falsetto voice and finger-picked folk riffs very warmly received. Pitt plays Cluny 2 on Saturday night at Evolution Emerging, it promises to one of the highlights of the entire festival.
