DISRAELI GEARS

Today’s tip is the latest offering from London-based four piece Disraeli Gears.

Disraeli Gears specialise in crafting a unique blend of down tempo folk mixed with grungy, lo-fi undertones, resulting in a sound reminiscent of the likes of Angus and Julia Stone and Daughter’s more murky moments.

Their latest single, ‘Born and Bred’ is an eerie, slow-burning track, laced with erratic changes in dynamics, fuzzy guitar stabs and almost hypnotic vocal deliveries.

The single has been greeted with mass critical acclaim since its release last month, gaining airtime on the likes of BBC 6 Music and Amazing Radio and rightfully so.

With a new EP in the pipeline, the brooding, yet ethereal ‘Born and Bred’ acts as a stupendous taster of similar things to come.
