Chichester based, Dutch Criminal Record, who describe themselves as ‘Summery South Coast Indie’, have released their latest single, ‘Wasted Time’.

An upbeat offering that’s a perfect, feel good, summer track – fast and light on its feet. The relatively long intro sets the tone with a catchy bassline, a central guitar solo and instrumental ending are interspersed with some great vocals and harmonies. Another stand out feature on the track are the energetic drums. The overall, combined effect make it impossible to listen and sit still, movement is a simple reflex response.

DCR are Alex Whibley-Conway, Riordan Hanan, Joe Delaney-Stone and Sam Thrussell, they have definitely opted for a bang up to date, contemporary sound with ‘Wasted Time’, bringing to mind comparisons with the likes of Cassia, Marsicans and Eliza and the Bear.

Infinitely accessible, one to add to your summer soundtrack.
