POOLTHEORY

The apparently LA-based Pooltheory is another of those mysterious artists who emerge with precious little information attached.

Frankly, I’d say that to retain a degree of anonymity in an age where everyone needs to know everything about everyone is laudable, particularly when you’re packing songs as lush as ‘The Dreamer’.

It’s the first song to emerge online from Pooltheory, and suggests this is a project which is definitely worth getting excited about.

An effortlessly emotional vocal a little like Grandaddy’s Jason Lytle is laid over a leisurely acoustic strum before the song gradually swells into massive choral lushness. It all makes for an absolutely enchanting first taster of a very promising artist.
