Festival Awards Finalists Announced

As conference season continues apace, the finalists for this year’s UK Festival Awards have been revealed, in categories including Best Major, Medium, and Small Festival, Best Metropolitan and Dance event, best use of new technology and best toilets. Artist awards include Headline Performance Of The Year, Best Breakthrough Artist and Anthem Of The Summer.

700,000 votes were cast by public vote, with shortlisted festivals across various categories including Bestival, Sonisphere, Beautiful Days, Somersault, Green Man and Festival No.6.

Founder and Director Steve Jenner said: “The response to this year’s awards, not only from fans, but also from more festivals applying to take part than ever before, has been exceptional this year – a positive sign that industry confidence, backed by public passion is surging in 2014. It sets the tone for an extra special celebration at The Roundhouse in a few weeks’ time”.

All the winners will be announced in a ceremony at The Roundhouse in London on Monday December 1st, preceded by the UK Festival Conference during the day.
