TIPPER OF THE WEEK: COURTNEY ROSEMEYER

This week we continue our latest feature on the Tipping Point, spotlighting the biggest and best emerging acts from across the UK. Each Monday, we ask one of our esteemed tippers to select five of their hottest tips to be featured on the site throughout the week.

Next up we have Courtney Rosemeyer, a music publicist based in South London, working on a roster of left-field artists and producers for Super Cat PR. She’s constantly hunting for artists who push the envelope in experimental and alternative pop. Check out Courtney’s picks below!

NEGA BRANDON

Nega Brandon is part of a huge and bubbling underground collective creating some of the most interesting lo-fi music. Himself and the likes of Rizloski are reclaiming hip-hop to reflect real London life and it sounds unreal.

BRIAN NASTY

Brian Nasty is an angel and creating some of the most emotive hip-hop around. He’s also an incredible producer – a true DIY pioneer.

SALUTE

I admit a few of these artists may be on my roster… but for good reason! salute is not only reviving beautiful tropical garage, but at the same time commenting on the UK dance scene and actively speaking up on behalf of minorities in dance music. No choice but to stan.

DENAI MOORE

Denai Moore has been smashing it for a long time but her new project is proving to be one of the most exciting releases from an upcoming UK artist for a long while. She’s combining indie elements with her unique talent as well as exploring crucial themes. V excited for the album.

LATE VERLANE

Swedish Late Verlane sounds like the love child of Elton John and David Bowie – and I know that sounds crazy. He’s taking the piano ballad and making it weird.
