Tipping Point presents Industry Insights – a new series of online events where we invite different musicians and industry professionals to chat through their experiences.
Tipping Point’s Charlie Dancer will be interviewing Matt Hardy live, a drummer based in London. In what may be one of the most challenging times for musicians, whose careers are often based around travel, in-person collaboration and live audience performances, we speak to someone who frequently and successfully works as a musician from home.
The interview will take place via Zoom and all attendees will be sent a link to be able to watch from home. Matt will share his experiences and informed advice on working as an online session musician and the opportunities and challenges it presents. Matt has contributed to the studio and live performances of artists such as Jake Houlsby, Ajimal, Mat Hunsley and many more.
This online event is part of the Supply Chain North East Programme and aims to provide musicians with advice and an insight into how best to work from home during this time, ensuring performance continuation and maintaining awareness as an artist.
Supply Chain North East will see four key partners joining forces to work with over 800 businesses between 2018-2021 supporting businesses to identify opportunities in new and existing markets. An integral part of the North East Growth Hub, Supply Chain North East will be delivered across the region by RTC North, Generator, North East Automotive Alliance (NEAA) and North East Process Industry Cluster (NEPIC). Supply Chain North East is receiving up to £3,148,514 of funding from the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.
