Thinking about starting your own business? Or just want to hear from other young people in the community who have taken the leap?
Join us for an in-depth panel discussion on 16th March from 3pm via Zoom, and hear from 5 leading North East young entrepreneurs on how they started their businesses, the challenges they have faced (and how they have overcome them), the support available for young people, how they define success, and much more.
This is the first of a series of Digital Union events for young people! Expect more events coming every month around the topic of entrepreneurship, women in business, digital ethics, and more.
Our panellists are:
- Dylan Mckee (Co-Founder, Nebula Labs)
- Justine Carrion-Weiss (PHD Student & Co-Founder of nuhj)
- Nathan Dunn (Co-Founder, PackagedBy)
- Rosie Willan & Charlotte Hall (Co-Founders, Stay The Night)
We will also be joined by Charlotte Windebank, MD of FIRST, who will spend 5 minutes talking about their new Startup Awards and their new Understanding Enterprise Course which provides skills to help young entrepreneurs.
At the age of 22, Charlotte Windebank began her journey of entrepreneurship after a stint of redundancies, failed interviews, Jobcentres and the desire to change the way things are done. It was 2008 and the first, big recession of modern times!
Now after 11 years, she is the MD and Cofounder of FIRST: www.youarefirst.co.uk as well as the Project Director of Startup Awards North East: www.startupawardsne.co.uk.
As a passionate advocate for young entrepreneurs, she will be sharing opportunities for early stage founders to get involved. From founders at the start of their journey and curious about starting up, to those turning over a profit and looking to grow.
To find out more about these opportunities before the event visit: https://www.youarefirst.co.uk/projects and if you have any questions please email: email@example.com
This panel event is aimed at any young person interested in entrepreneurship, or have an idea they would like to take to the next level. However, we welcome attendees of all ages and interests looking for some inspiration and advice!
