Music conference for brand new festival Generator Live presented by talent development agency Generator on the 24th June
Friday 24th June as part of Generator Live Festival 10:30am – 5:00pm at the Biscuit Factory
As part of our brand new music festival Generator Live taking place across Newcastle from 18th – 25th June, Generator are pleased to announce the Generator Live Conference!
Built by the team who brought Evolution Emerging and Tipping Point Live to the region, 2022 will see an exciting new festival format with accessibility, diversity, and resilience at its core. Generator Live is a platform for some of the best North East artists and creatives to join and show the strength in our industry, form connections and drive the industry forward.
The festival and conference will showcase the region’s brightest talent both on stage and behind the scenes, with local production crews, independent promoters and grassroots venues cohesively working together to support the festival and its emerging artists.
The Generator Live Conference will take over the historic Biscuit Factory in the Ouseburn, with a packed programme of events, from industry panels in Artisan, recorded roundtable talks in The Drawing Room, workshops taking in the Work Room and exclusive 1:1 meetings in the Factory Kitchen cafe.
The conference is supported by some of the UK’s leading music industry trade bodies, including The Musicians’ Union, the UK’s premier royalty collection agency PRS For Music, licensing organisation PPL and independent music charity Help Musicians UK.
Conference Schedule and speakers to be announced soon!
The Generator Live Conference will be followed by the return of an in person NEMIMU (North East Music Industry Meet Up) in partnership with Sage Gateshead at Blast Recording Studios – providing an informal space for networking and catch ups with the local industry over refreshments.
Conference attendees will also receive FREE entry to our final Generator Live fringe event at Cobalt Studios curated by BBC Introducing North East and Northern Roots
Please note that this event is free to attend but prior registration is essential due to limited spaces.
