This panel will speak to three established music managers working in a range of varied genres, drawing from the Music Manager Forum’s recently published report ‘Managing Expectations’, which explores the changing role and value of a music manager.
Panellists’ will share their own personal experiences of establishing a career in management, offer advice on how artists can navigate their own career before getting a manager and share thoughts on what makes a successful artist and manager partnership.
The panel will be moderated by Jayne Stynes of the MMF and speakers include; Vicky Dowdall from VDM Music, Sam Meaghan of SM MGMT and one other manager (to be announced soon)
This Masterclass is part of the Supply Chain North East programme and aims to give you an in-depth insight into the changing role and value of a music manager – including how artists can navigate their own career before getting a manager, and how a manager can add value to their career.
Supply Chain North East will see four key partners joining forces to work with over 800 businesses between 2018-2021 supporting businesses to identify opportunities in new and existing markets. An integral part of the North East Growth Hub, Supply Chain North East will be delivered across the region by RTC North, Generator, North East Automotive Alliance (NEAA) and North East Process Industry Cluster (NEPIC). Supply Chain North East is receiving up to £3,148,514 of funding from the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.
