SWITCH : Sampling and Electronic Music Course

SWITCH is a fully funded, 8 week talent development course for early stage and beginner electronic music producers from the North East (aged 16-24). It is part of Generator’s Tipping Point talent development programme.

The SWITCH course will include 8 sessions (one per week over 8 weeks) and will focus on collecting and recording samples, processing those samples into simple sequencing software and production /editing approaches. The sessions will also include examples of different sample uses in popular and commercial music and music industry advice.

For those that show commitment and potential there will be progression and showcasing opportunities.

The Course sessions will take place in The Arches electronic music space behind Sage Gateshead
