We are pleased to announce our Generator Winter Songwriting Residency for emerging artists and music creators across the North East!
The residency will be delivered online and facilitated by musician, songwriter and cultural producer Jennie Brewis, and will focus on developing the songwriting skills and professional practices of 8 artists by exploring writing across different genres, working to briefs and collaborating/co-writing.
This is an 8-week programme commencing on Thursday 14th January, with a half term break on 18th February. Participants must be available:
- 14th, 21st, 28th Jan
- 4th, 11th, 25th Feb
- 4th, 11th March
The Residency will consist of 8 sessions, taking place every Thursday evening from 6-8pm, commencing Thursday 14th January, featuring guest speakers including Jordan Miller, Kema Kay, and Martha Hill, with more speakers to be announced over the coming weeks. Participants must be able to commit to all sessions.
Participants can also attend individual feedback and advice sessions with Jennie – this will be planned as and when suitable for each participant.
