The Rookery

The Rookery is a growing music collective encouraging more people to make and enjoy live music through a range of different jamming and showcase events.

The Rookery has been steadily stepping up the number of events the team runs; planning to ultimately embed their idea in the North East before growing a franchise-style model to student cities around the UK.

The Rookery wanted to work with Highfly through the Generator Business Coaches programme to specifically support them with their online marketing and campaigns for their upcoming series of events; including two big events in Newcastle and one in Manchester, over the next two months.

Over three intensive sessions, Sam from Highfly worked with Joey and Rob to help clarify the online presence of the brand, before creating an actionable digital strategy to maximise ticket sales.

The first stage was to develop, refine, and launch The Rookery’s website; crafting compelling copy and mapping out an appropriate user journey for visitors when they first visit the site. After that, the focus was on training and supporting The Rookery through the Facebook Paid Advertising platform to create a strong digital advertising push – identifying and profiling appropriate audiences before setting up a full paid campaign to help promote the upcoming events, along with the wider brand.

Joey and Rob from The Rookery are no strangers to doing well online, with Joey recently going viral as ‘Newcastle’s Drumming Busker’… however the real, practical support and advice provided from Highfly helped them quickly launch its website and marketing campaign, whilst also providing the underpinning to ensure the team can continue to build on this over time.
