New Appointment To Head Canadian Operations For NBS

Mat Sadler has been appointed as Country Manager to head up the Canadian operation for NBS, who are a global leader in specification software and market leading BIM content, for the AEC industry.

NBS has a clear and ambitious strategy in global business development. In 2017 NBS made the acquisition of Digicon Information Inc and the appointment of Mat Sadler is the next step in the growth of the Canadian operation.

Mat has been Vice President of Vancouver based Sengled since 2016. Sengled is a global innovator in LED lighting, pioneering research and development that brings new ideas to smart lighting by integrating technology with energy-saving LED bulbs.

Mat is also Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity Sunshine Coast in British Columbia which mobilises volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing while promoting home ownership to help break the cycle of poverty. Mat has worked in the Information Technology industry for over twenty years leading sales, marketing, services and operation teams in large corporate, broader public sector and SMB markets.

Commenting on the appointment, Chris Slinn Chief Revenue Officer for NBS said “I am delighted to welcome Mat to head up our Canadian operation and we are very excited about growing our businesses in Canada.

“Since NBS acquired Digicon in 2017, NBS has collaborated with specifiers, manufacturers and the wider construction sector to develop the Canadian content sets. The result is a platform that the industry wants and needs: NBS Chorus is a cloud-based specification platform supporting global design and construction. The use of cloud technology ensures that those using the platform, have the latest software and global content.

“This improves collaboration across whole teams, minimises risk and maximises efficiency, with access on all devices, at anytime and anywhere.’

Mat Sadler said “I am really excited to be part of the global expansion of NBS and to develop the business across Canada. NBS always tries to ensure they are meeting market needs, rather than dictating what the market should have. It’s about testing what we’re doing, gathering that feedback and making sure the products evolve in a useful way.”

NBS who are headquartered in the UK, also have offices in Australia and work across the world.
