AIM Awards Entries Open

The Association of Independent Music (AIM) is now accepting entries for this year’s AIM Awards.

Ten categories are open for submissions from both members and non-members, with categories including Best Small label, Best ‘Difficult second album, Independent Label of the Year and Independent Breakthrough of the Year alongside Hardest Working Band or Artist and the ‘Golden Welly’ Award for Best Independent Festival.

The 6th edition of the AIM Awards will celebrate the talent and influence of the independent sector in the UK and will take place on 6th September at The Brewery venue in London.

The deadline for entries is May 24th, and application forms can be downloaded here.

In related news, it has been announced that AIM Chief Executive and Chair Alison Wenham is to depart AIM to join Worldwide Independent Network (WIN) which represents the interests of the global independent music community worldwide. WIN will now launch as a standalone trade association once a new Chief Executive has been found for AIM, and will be headquartered in London.
