Over typically hard production from Heavyhitterz, Bonkaz proclaims that the block belongs to the creatives that thrive in that environment, rather than the police. In the hands of London production trio The Writers Block, ‘We Run The Block‘ is transformed; elevated to a whole new level with pitched-up vocals, huge synthetic horns and new drum patterns that vary from the Trap origins on the original. TWB earned their stripes in the UK’s House scene, but remixes like this one are an excellent indicator of their versatility.
