BPI’s Big Ideas for Internships

The BPI is set to offer funding for paid internships to music companies through The Big Music Project– a new big lottery funded initiative led by Capital FM, The BPI and charity UK Youth.

The Big Music Project will offer up to 50% of the total wage costs of a music internship lasting between 3-12 months in all areas of the industry including marketing, communications, finance and A & R.

BPI Chief Executive Geoff Taylor said: “Talented interns provide an injection of new blood, bright ideas and fresh thinking into growing businesses. Through The Big Music Project, we are giving a helping hand to music companies across the UK to fulfill their potential and to invest in the future of our industry”.

The Big Music Project are also promoting live events throughout the UK including Belfast, Cardiff, Glasgow and London in September and October. These will feature live showcases, guest speakers and information on work opportunities in the local area.
