Chase Park Festival

The organisors of Chase Park festival have confirmed the event’s line-up for 2016 with Sheffield’s indie dance stalwarts Reverend & The Makers taking part in what has been billed as the festival’s most ambitious gathering to date.

Chase Park Festival is scheduled for Saturday August 6th and is considered Britain’s most inclusive festival.

Other acts will join Reverend & The Makers on the Chase Park stage including Oxford’s alt-folk rockers Stornoway and Ben Ottewell of indie rock legends Gomez.

Chase Park will also feature Barry Hyde, Stranger Stranger and Memphis Industries‘ harmony outfit The Cornshed Sisters.

Speaking ahead of this year’s line-up announcement, Festival Organiser Alistair McDonald, said: “We’re delighted to confirm the line-up for Chase Park 2016 and we believe this is our strongest yet”.

Alistair continued: “Chase Park is an event for people of all abilities and is the biggest open air event of its kind in the UK providing disabled people with the opportunity to be involved in activity that most people take for granted, as well as the chance to enjoy a feel good community event which can help improve their sense of wellbeing”.

Alistair continued: “We have chosen a number of artists with disabilities who we feel really deserve the exposure. We are running an artist development programme with the UK’s leading music development agency Generator this year to ensure these guys get the most out of their involvement with the festival”.

The festival will feature some of the North East’s most promising rising stars and will see performances from Newcastle’s RnB pop high risers SoShe, the sublime Jeff Buckley inspired singer-songwriter Jake Houlsby and a special appearance from electronica outfit The Sound Beams.
