ESPA

Espa’s latest release from her ‘150th & Broadway’ EP sees the London-based vocalist backed by production from Shift K3y and Todd Oliver.

Your Ghost‘ centres around the haunting void left by an ex, conveyed with vocals which take on a certain desperation toward the end of each verse before dropping away to a chorus tinged with despair.  Originally from London but often found fraternising with the likes of Flatbush Zombies in Brooklyn, Espa released the Rankin-inspired video for ‘Your Ghost’ just last week, which serves as the perfect accompaniment.  The video also marks one of the first glimpses of the singer herself, whose identity has remained somewhat under wraps until now.  However, with a voice as powerful and expressive as hers, it’s unlikely that this will be far from the last we see of Espa.
