Grenfell: Single Release

Various artists have this week released a cover of Simon and Garfunkel track ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ to raise money for those affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

Released today (Wednesday June 21st at 8am, the track features the likes of Queen’s Brian May, Craig David, Bastille, Emeli Sandé, Rita Ora and the London Community Gospel Choir. The single was was organised by Simon Cowell and recorded over three days from Saturday 17th June, at Sarm Studios in West London- half a mile from the Grenfell Tower.

The track is released a week after the tragedy and immediately aired across BBC radio stations and the Global commercial network this morning.

All proceeds from the track and additional donations will be distributed through The London Community Foundation. To find out other ways in which you can donate to help those affected, there are various other funds including one established by the Red Cross, the London Evening Standard’s dispossessed fund and a JustGiving fund devoted to the firefighters.
