JACK VALLIER

After dropping a few tracks over the past couple of years, Bournemouth’s Jack Vallier is stepping out with his first single proper, ‘Rebekah’. He’s also emerging into a world that isn’t short of singer-songwriters, all vying for their time in the spotlight. The best way to do that is to find a distinctive sound, or try something that no-one else has thought of. Luckily, Jack pretty much has that down.

At first, ‘Rebekah’ seems like another tale of heartbreak sung by a guy with a guitar. But if the sweeping, blissed out electronic build up didn’t give it away, there’s more to this track than meets the eye.

Jack introduces harmonic layers, piano, as well as light and atmospheric beats and even some muted waves of vintage synths to help the track stand out from the crowd. Really, with such a range of sounds fitted into one song, Jack Vallier could go in any direction he wanted.
